Shin Kori State-of-the-Art Reactors to Feature Dresser Masoneilan Control Valve Packages
HOUSTON (November 2nd , 2009) – Dresser Masoneilan® today announced that it has been named the preferred control valve supplier for Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power’s Shin Kori reactors currently under construction near Busan, South Korea.
Shin Kori 3 and 4 are the first-ever installation of KHNP’s state-of-the-art APR1400 reactor design. When operational in 2013 and 2014, they will produce 1400 MWe each, making them two of the largest new nuclear power plants in the world. Dresser Masoneilan will provide control valves and supply operational service and support for the estimated 60-year life of the reactors.
