Basic construction includes a contoured body and specialty trim materials, making it ideal for black water handling systems used in the gasification of coal, petroleum coke, oil or other feed-stocks. Selection Criteria

Control valve applications with high levels of flashing are often installed directly mounted to a large volume flash tank. The 73000 Series control valve is specifically designed for such applications with a body and trim designed to be directly flanged to a flash tank. The 73000 Series can also feature an extended seat venturi to provide a safer way to direct the high velocity flashing fluid into the tank and minimize direct impingement on the tank walls.

The 73000 Series is designed for severely erosive applications using a sweep angle body design along with specialty materials to provide high hardness for improved resistance on critical valve surfaces. Trim components are available in a wide variety of special materials including stellite, tungsten carbide and ceramics. The 73000 Series design also includes an integrated body and bonnet design and heavy stem guiding.
