The Model 4411 electro-pneumatic transducer is a proportional pneumatic to current signal converter employing advanced closed loop, solid state technology to provide extremely accurate and high resolution control performance. Typically used along with standard pneumatic control valve positioners, the 4411 can be directly mounted on the valve or mounted separately away from the valve, for example, on a pipe stand. This device is available with various hazardous area certifications for use in explosion-proof and intrinsically safe operating environments.

Selection Criteria

The Model 4411 is the primary electro-pneumatic transducer offered by Dresser Masoneilan for use with the standard 4700P positioner (as well as other pneumatic positioners), for applications where temperature and/or vibration are potential issues for valve-mounted electronic instruments. The 4411 accepts standard 4-20 mA analog input signals, and in conjunction with a pneumatic control valve positioner, converts this input into a precise pneumatic signal to the control valve actuator.

The Model 4411 is an advanced closed loop transducer which provides high accuracy, large flow capacity, low air consumption and excellent reliability with a temperature, vibration and position insensitive design. The 4411 also has a modular design construction for key components and sub-modules. It is available with various certifications and ratings including ATEX, FM and CSA for explosion-proof, intrinsically safe and others. It can be used with a maximum supply presure of 150 psi (10 bar) and is available in standard output pressure ranges of 3-15 psi and 6-30 psi .
