The Model 4700 control valve positioner provides flexibility and reliability with its modular design construction and corrosion resistant packaging. It can be configured as an electro-pneumatic device by simply assembling the separate I/P transducer module to the base pneumatic positioner. These positioners are designed for use with either reciprocating or rotary type actuators, and are available in optional configurations for hazardous area applications.

The Model 4700 is the standard pneumatic control valve positioner offered by Dresser Masoneilan. It operates with standard pneumatic and analog inputs and is qualified for use in hazardous areas with various certifications including ATEX, FM and CSA. Certs also cover various explosion-proof and intrinsically safe ratings.

Key Features

The Model 4700 uses a multi-lobe cam design to provide various control characteristics including linear and equal percent. It is a fully enclosed design using corrosion resistant materials and modular construction for key components and sub-assemblies including the I/P transducer module for the 4700E electro-pneumatic version. The 4700 can also be configured for direct or reverse operation utilizing the same mounting orientation.
